Dr. Barrett completed a post-graduate residency in general dentistry at the University of North Carolina. Outside of her collegiate studies, Dr. Barrett completed advanced training in complex treatment planning, restorative dentistry, oral surgical procedures, pediatric dentistry, and prosthodontics.

Dr. Barrett plans to continue her education in cosmetic dentistry and enhance her knowledge in digital practices in esthetic dentistry.

Professional Memberships

Dr. Barrett is an active member of the American Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry, the South Carolina Dental Association, and the American Association for Women Dentists.

Life & Hobbies

Dr. Barrett is planning to move back to Charleston with her fiancé, Robert, to enjoy life at the beach. Outside of work, she enjoys outdoor activities, cooking, reading, yoga, and competitive board games. She has a golden retriever, Ned, and is looking forward to adding a second golden to the family soon!

My Mission

"To treat each and every patient with genuine respect and concern. To make the dental office a place not of fear, but of comfort. My favorite aspect of dentistry is the ability to share my knowledge and education with my patients, improving their understanding and ability to maintain proper oral health. As much as I enjoy seeing my patients, the only time I hope to see them are at appointments to help maintain the high quality of their oral health, and not treatment after something has gone wrong. My ultimate goal is to provide the best treatments I can for my patients that improve their oral health for a lifetime, which I firmly believe can dramatically improve their overall systemic health."

Dr. Rainwater is currently an active member of the American Dental Education Association and American Dental Association. He is Invisalign Certified.

Life & Hobbies

When he isn't practicing dentistry, Dr. Rainwater enjoys spending as much of his free time as possible outdoors. Most summers, he finds himself camping, hiking, and fishing in the beautiful wilderness of Montana, embracing all that nature has to offer. He loves playing any and all sports, and he likes to stay active. Dr. Rainwater has been fortunate enough to travel extensively abroad, seeking any opportunity to check another destination off of his bucket list.
